Helping your child to love reading is one of the most powerful gifts that you can bestow upon them. If they love the experience of reading, they will approach the process of reading with a positive mindset and attitude. Here are some ways in which you can help your child love reading.
Make reading fun. Create a reading fort at home with your child using old blankets and sheets. Grab a book and a torch and snuggle into the fort with your child and read! You could even create a quite reading corner somewhere in your home that has a comfy cushion or beanbag and a pile of books, ready for reading at anytime of the day.

We are CRAZY for amazing wrapping paper and we thought, wouldn’t it be awesome if you could reuse your wrapping paper?! This idea is inspired by a Japanese style of wrapping called Furoshiki. The recipient of your gift gets to keep the wrapping which can be used over and over again!
- Tulip Tie Dye Kit from The Reject Shop. The kit comes with gloves and elastic bands too.
- Fabric (40cm x 40cm per piece of wrapping cloth)
- Water Scissors Plastic bags (one per wrapping cloth)
- Paper towel

Today are mini friends listened to ‘How do you feel?’ by Anthony Browne. We talked about how we were feeling and about how our faces change to show others how we are feeling. Our mini’s then made some crafty faces with their Mum’s using beautiful papers. We had a great time and we were feeling totally FABULOUS!
