We were very excited to read Jemimah Clegg’s review in ‘The Weekly Review’ about Martha Jean’s workshop at See Make Play.
Check it out! Here is a snippet and if you want to read more, here is the link http://www.theweeklyreview.com.au/live/we-get-crafty-at-see-make-play/
See Make Play’s adult craft workshops are designed to allow people to get back to their five-year-old self and switch off from the real world for an hour or two.
This particular workshop is run by jewellery designer Ana Nicols Rees of Martha Jean studio, and See Make Play director Francesca Sferlazza is also there to help us get crafty.
Our class is a small group of women, comprising two groups of friends. We take our seats around the table and gather the materials we need to make our necklaces, including wooden semi-circles, paints, Fimo clay to make beads, and yarn to put it all together.
Ummm … this awesome necklace I’m now sporting. Also the feeling of accomplishment from actually making something myself.
It’s $45 for the 90-minute class. Other classes vary in price.
Would I do it again?
It was so fun to get my craft on. I’d definitely go back to try something else.
